Introducing a holistic approach to aging
The Brielle’s trademarked wellness philosophy, Salus (Latin for “well-being”), focuses on residents’ whole lives — from the physical and intellectual to the social and spiritual. This approach to wellness also extends to our Valeo (Latin for “to thrive”) memory care programming, which honors residents by always treating them with dignity and preserving and celebrating their legacies.
Salus is powered by Masterpiece Living®, a cutting-edge company that emerged from the groundbreaking 10-year MacArthur Foundation research around successful aging. This study found that lifestyle, rather than genetics, is responsible for 70 percent of physical aging and approximately 50 percent of mental aging. Wellness programs at the country’s most visionary and successful senior living communities are built on the Masterpiece Living platform, which is designed to touch every aspect of residents’ lives and keep them feeling engaged, honored and fulfilled.
